
Devoted to providing quality patient care, Katrena Hovsepian centered her career on disease prevention, treatment, and evidence-based medicine. While receiving her Bachelor's in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine, she engaged in breast cancer research, specifically focusing on metastasis to the brain. Concurrent with her studies, Katrena dedicated four years to serving as a COPE Health Scholar at Glendale Adventist Hospital. During this time, she provided mentorship to interns and assumed a leadership position as the coordinator for the Radiology Department. In successive roles as a medical assistant, acquiring phlebotomy licensure, and fulfilling the role of clinic coordinator, Katrena showcased her dedication to delivering comprehensive care.
Currently, she is enrolled in the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Katrena actively engages in PA Pathways events and mentors pre-PA students, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and an active learning approach for professional growth. Rooted in a profound appreciation for evidence-based medicine, Katrena's passion extends to community service. She envisions a future where her diverse experiences and unwavering commitment make significant contributions to the healthcare field.
